The Facility Operations Assistant 1 summer position is a 12-week position, 40 hours/week (Monday – Friday, 7:00 am-3:30 pm) that supplements our workforce, enabling us to complete preventative maintenance work and small project work that is required during summer months. Positions are available in our Zones, Core, Heating Plant, and Grounds areas.
There are no education or experience qualifications for this class. Applicants must be physically able to perform the tasks of the position and be able to understand and carry out written or oral instructions. When required to operate motor vehicles, incumbents must possess a valid New York State driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle being operated.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old. If under 18, must have appropriate working papers. (High school students will not work the full 12 weeks, they may start in June when school lets out)
