Assistant Property Manager in Palmyra, NY

Salary Range: $20.00-$24.99

While our full-time Assistant Property Manager is on maternity leave for two months as of May, we are seeking a part-time Assistant Property Manager with Maintenance Skills to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist 20 hours a week with the operations of a residential property, ensuring a high level of tenant satisfaction and property performance. Must live within 20 minute drive to Palmyra.
Duties:
- Assist in managing tenant relations, including addressing and resolving inquiries and complaints promptly
- Conduct property tours for potential tenants and assist with the leasing process
- Perform data entry tasks accurately and maintain organized records
- Support property maintenance efforts by coordinating repairs and maintenance requests
- Utilize customer relationship management skills to build positive relationships with tenants
- Assist in upselling additional services or amenities to tenants
- Provide administrative support related to real estate operations
- Collaborate with the property manager on sales and marketing initiatives
Requirements:
- Knowledge of Fair Housing regulations and guidelines
- Experience with OneSite or similar property management software is preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on tenant satisfaction
- Familiarity with property maintenance processes and procedures
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in property maintenance to perform repairs and upkeep tasks as necessary, ensuring the property is well-maintained and in optimal condition.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to tenants and efficient operation of the property.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to keep maintenance records accurate and up-to-date.
Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with tenants, property management, and maintenance teams.
Commitment to ensuring a safe and comfortable living environment for tenants through proactive maintenance practices.
Must be well-versed in home repairs, as this job requires performing some repairs in addition to management responsibilities.
