Engineering Technician in Fairport, NY

Salary Range: $27 - $30 per hour

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of ultrasound transducers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist in the prototyping of ultrasound transducers.
• Build and test transducer product designs and production test fixtures.
• Analyze test results and prepare reports to share with engineering.
• Assist with the development of test fixtures and assembly documentation.
• Test ultrasound transducers in various stages of assembly using electronic test equipment.
• Participate in certain assembly steps, some of which are conducted under a microscope.
• Improve and document current assembly processes.
• Work with Engineering to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to transducer performance.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes, test results, and production data.
• Work closely with production to facilitate the production of ultrasound transducers.
• Provide technical support to customers and to sales team.
• Trace design issues to their root causes and improve the production processes to prevent recurrences.
• Create product documentation and specifications.
• Prepare test plans and procedures for manufacturing.
• Assist with sustaining engineering efforts for existing products.
• Other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 2-Year Technical degree in a Math, Science, or Technology field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of manufacturing experience with a technical products company
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
• Able to perform fine assembly work under a microscope.
• Able to think conceptually and solve problems by tracing them to their cause.

Salary range: $27 to $30 per hour
