Genesee Community College has an opening for a part-time (19.5 hours per week) Campus Safety Officer.
Applicants must have a New York State security guard certification, valid driver’s license, and be certified in first aid and CPR. Must be able to work a schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
The minimum qualifications include graduation from high school or possession of an appropriate equivalency diploma recognized by the NYS Dept. of Education AND EITHER: Graduation from an regionally accredited or New York State registered College or University with an A.A.S. degree or higher or six (6) months full-time, paid experience in a campus security organization, private, public, commercial security force or related field or customer service field.
NOTE: Part-time, paid experience may be prorated to meet the requirements in (2) and (3) above.
This is a non-competitive civil service position with Genesee County. The individual selected for the position must be a resident of Genesee, Erie, Livingston, Monroe, Niagara, Orleans or Wyoming County.
