Highway Construction Laborer in Oaks Corners, NY

Salary Range: 32.00 - 43.00

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Construction Laborer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various aspects of construction and heavy equipment operation. This role involves working on construction sites, assisting with the setup, operation, and maintenance of equipment, and ensuring that projects are completed safely and efficiently.

Duties

· Be motivated and have a positive attitude

· Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening

· Availability to travel overnight 100% (Monday – Friday) from April 1 to December 24

· Ability to handle materials in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day

· Ability to stand and walk eight hours per day

· Ability to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (in-house training available)

· Ability to work in a fast paced, team driven environment

· Willingness to learn and take direction

· Availability to work overtime and some weekends

· Willingness to join a union

Reliable transportation to and from our facility in Oaks Corners, NY. All employees depart and return to Oaks Corners, NY each week

Requirements

· Experience in highway construction industry

· CDL Class A or B driver’s license

· Working outdoors in all types of weather conditions

· Loading and unloading materials on trucks and safely transporting to/from job site

· Working alongside and at the direction of others to complete quality installations

Handling materials that weigh in excess of 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day

· Some working construction knowledge i.e. read and use a tape measure, operate hand and power tools
