Local family-owned property management company is looking for a FT Leasing Manager to join our team.

DUE TO COVID- TEMPORARY WORK HOURS WILL BE MONDAY-FRIDAY, 8:00AM-4:00PM**

Education and Experience

High school diploma or the equivalent along with a minimum of 6 months general office experience, including responsibilities for typing, filing, answering telephones, and dealing with the public.

Additional Training

Post high school courses or seminars in property management, marketing, or customer relations are highly desirable. Prior experience in property management, real estate sales, or the hospitality industry are a plus.

Job Summary

The Leasing Manager serves as the initial point of contact with residents and potential residents; supports the Site Manager in their efforts to process resident applications and handle day-to-day resident and leasing office matters; maintains a courteous and helpful attitude to residents and potential residents by responding to resident requests promptly and courteously; resolves resident issues if possible, and if not possible, refers to the Site Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities

Make sure the office is ready for business. Stock brochures, greeting cards, etc.; empty garbage and spot clean office as needed.
Meet, greet and interview prospective residents, show the model apartment and any other apartment/townhouse of interest to prospective resident.
Accept rental applications for review and approval by Site Manager and conduct the required background investigations (credit, employment and past landlord references).
Make sure prospective residents understand the security deposit policy.
Determine move-in date and unit desired, complete lease and explain lease to resident. Explain maintenance emergency calls, verify keys and explain lock-out procedure. Deliver copy of lease, move-in inspection form and any other applicable information. Collect any deposit or rent due prior to move-in.
Accept rents, deposits and miscellaneous fees and payments from residents; complete deposit forms.
Provide miscellaneous administrative support to the Leasing Office operation. Type new leases, renewals, forms, reports, correspondence to management and residents among other types of documents.
Deliver correspondence to residents as needed.
Maintain daily rental applicant traffic report and summarize at week end.
Prepare move-in packets.
Work weekends and at any other community as needed.
Maintain computer data base on license info, move-out addresses, and comparative rent surveys.
Maintain maintenance data in cooperation with Maintenance Office.
Provide top-notch customer service to all residents, prospects and visitors. Dress and act in a professional way. Be energetic and assertive, and convey a positive attitude. Picture yourself as the manager of a resort hotel and strive to present that impression to your customers.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
