Wayne County, New York is looking for an experienced and innovative leader for the position of Nursing Home Administrator. This person will be responsible for planning, directing, and managing Wayne County’s 192 bed Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center. This position is appointed by the County Legislature and works under the administrative direction of the County Administrator with a high degree of independence.

Today, we work together to help you feel at home. Services include exceptional long term care, skilled nursing, short term rehab, respite services, hospice and palliative care. In addition, specialty services include stroke recovery care, memory care, bariatric care, wound care and Vital Stim. Our highly trained, dedicated professionals deliver care that allows our patients to achieve their highest level of independence.
We are conveniently located 15 minutes away from Lyons, Clyde and Newark NY. Our new facility is bright and spacious. With 192 beds, we are proud to be the largest skilled long-term care facility in Wayne County.
Short-Term Rehabilitation programs are focused on helping our patients return home as quickly as possible following hospitalization or illness. Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapies are provided 6-7 days per week in a state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym, supported by our caring nursing and medical professionals.

Education and Experience
Graduation from a regionally accredited or NYS registered college or university with a bachelor's degree including or supplemented by successful completion of an approved course of study*, plus minimum two (2) years of experience as Assistant Administrator or equivalent senior management position in a nursing home.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS FOR ACCEPTANCE OF APPLICATIONS: Possession of license to practice as a Nursing Home Administrator in NY State is required at the time of appointment.
*An approved course of study as described in Section 96.8 of the Administrative Rules and Regulations of the NYS Department of Health.10 NYCRR 96.8.
Public Health Law (Article 28-D, § 2896), states that on or after July 1, 1970, no person shall practice or represent him or herself as a nursing home administrator in New York State unless that person is licensed by New York's Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators (BENHA) and registered by the New York State Department of Health.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary for this position is based on qualifications and experience. The position is classified at Grade 11 of the County Managerial Confidential Compensation Plan (non-bargaining) with a minimum salary of $86,788 and benefit package which also includes health benefits and participation in the New York State Local Retirement System.
