Logistics Coordinator (After-hours) in Rochester, NY

Salary Range: $46,750.00 - $71,500.00 per year

Summary:
Logistic Dynamics is looking for bold and motivated logistics professionals to join our growing Rochester, NY team. As After-hours Logistics Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day transportation operations including, but not limited to data entry, rate negotiation, dispatching, customer service, account management and business development.

Days/hours (flexibility available):
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday - 3 pm to midnight ET
Saturday and Sunday - noon to 9 pm ET

Duties and Responsibilities:
Engage in freight terms/rates negotiations with carriers to meet all Individual, Team and Company goals
Maintain and grow carrier relationships to service customers and establish mutually-beneficial partnerships
Assign and manage any and all LTL, truckload, intermodal and expedited shipments
Update TMS with accurate and detailed information
Maintain and update carrier profiles as necessary/adhere to company safety guidelines and procedures
Learn and utilize customer software (ERP, EDI, etc.), perform all data-entry requirements and other account management tasks as directed by Team Manager
Ardently monitor carrier/driver statuses to ensure smooth operational process from booking through delivery
Communicate all carrier-related issues with team manager to determine and implement best solution(s)
Request documentation from carriers as necessary
Field afterhours calls and troubleshoot issues on rotating basis
Reach all Individual monthly performance thresholds
Maintain minimum KPIs
Contribute to Team and Company growth by attaining Individual goals

Requirements:
Experience in role as a dispatcher, broker, load planner or equivalent training/education a plus
Commitment to operational perfection and personal success
Ability to switch between multiple tasks, manage time effectively in fast-paced environment
Work in a team environment, but driven by individual incentives
Strong negotiation skills and attention to detail
Excellent problem solving, organization and prioritization skills
Highly efficient and clear communication DAT, Internet Truckstop and Transportation Management Software (TMS) experience a plus
High school diploma or GED required, Bachelor's degree a plus
