Maintenance Mechanic in Rochester, NY

Salary Range: $30-$35/hour

Position Summary: This position is responsible for ensuring the operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems and production machines in a food manufacturing facility, as well as troubleshooting malfunctions. You are expected to conduct yourself in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies and other standards of conduct.
General Responsibilities:
Set up and tear down equipment; may assist with major repairs. construction, fabrication, and installation of new plant equipment.
Locate the sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
Perform routine preventive maintenance.
Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in food manufacturing.
Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.
Basic mechanical and electrical skills preferred.
