Program: Yates Recovery Center, Geneva, NY

Shift Scheduled: Tues. - Sat. 11:00a - 7:00p ***Currently 8/8:30a – 4/4:30p Mon. – Fri. due to COVID scheduling and lack of activity in the community. This will also be the training schedule for any new hire. Ample notice and discussion regarding schedule change will happen before going to 11:00a – 7:00p Tues. – Sat.

Salary:      Starting at $15.00/hr. PLUS Based on Education & Experience (to be discussed during phone screening)

Peer Outreach Coach Description: With the general supervision of the Recovery Center/Drop-In Program Manager, performs a wide range of recovery-based services, vocational/educational training, skills training, driving a company owned bus or van, transporting consumers to and from activities based on a predetermined schedule, and reporting functions related to the day-to-day operations of the Recovery Center/Drop-in programs. Peer will also provide outreach services to help individuals link to meaningful activities within their community and the Recovery Center and/or Drop-In programs. Individual will use their personal story and experiences, with behavioral health services, to help guide members on their path to recovery. Individual should strive to create a healing environment that respects the perspectives and experiences of the individuals, families, staff, and communities we serve by practicing safe, respectful communication as well as respecting individuals’ boundaries and differences.

Peer Outreach Coach Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years’ experience working with special needs consumers in a recovery-based or vocational/rehabilitative setting. Lived experience with mental health services required. Completion of or significant progress toward the Peer Certification Program is required within one (1) year of hire date. Possession of the CPRP credential is a plus. Must have a valid driver license or be eligible for the appropriate NY State driver license at time of application
