Position Summary: This individual is responsible for providing customers with precise and detailed cost estimates in a timely manner. Quoters/Estimators are to collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers, Purchasing, and the Quality department to ensure that requests for quotes (RFQs) are processed with precision and efficiency. This role is pivotal in maintaining the company's reputation for delivering accurate and timely quotations to our customers.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
-Develop comprehensive cost estimates for precision machined parts/assemblies within Addison Precision Manufacturing: identify all necessary materials, quality requirements, tooling, and manufacturing methods.
-Examine and verify customer documentation, including specifications and drawings, to ensure the quote accurately reflects the customer's requirements.
-Work closely with engineering, quality control, and purchasing to ensure accuracy, meet lead times, and address material & quality needs.
-Exhibit strong analytical and data management skills.
-Stay organized and perform well in a fast-paced environment.
Required Skills and Experience:
-Ability to read and interpret drawings, Cad files and technical documents.
-Knowledge of all aspects of precise CNC Machining.
-Experience as an estimator or similar position is preferred: 3-5 years of machine shop experience.
-Ability to work effectively within a team environment and under pressure.
-Strong attention to detail, as well as problem-solving and communication skills.
-Proficient in ERP/quoting systems and Excel.
